NEW RELEASE

When newlyweds Penn and Farrah Fletcher retreat to a
secluded mountain cabin for a romantic honeymoon, they expect peace and
solitude—not to become witnesses to the unraveling of humanity. Overnight,
civilization collapses in a tidal wave of violence, paranoia, and fear.
Neighbors turn into predators, strangers into executioners. And beneath it all,
an eerie theory grows louder: the infected are no longer human—they're
something else.

RED/BLUE  follows Penn and Farrah’s harrowing
transformation from lovers to survivalists, their lives upended by a contagion
(or perhaps something far worse) that strips humanity from its victims. Some
say it's a virus. Others whisper of demons, aliens, or poisoned atmospheres.
The only certainty? Those “changed” aren’t who they were—and they aren’t safe.

From their mountain refuge, the Fletchers descend into a
world fractured by mistrust and madness. As grotesque mutations emerge, and
distorted humans roam under the cover of night, the line between heroes and monsters
blur. They find hope with an eclectic group of survivors in Vernon High, a
fortified stronghold run by everyday people with a fragile sense of structure.
But security is fleeting in a world this broken.

What begins as a quest to withstand the apocalypse morphs
into a deeper struggle with identity, tribalism, and the frightening
malleability of truth in a world no longer bound by reason. Are the real
monsters outside—or within?

MICAH HOUSE lives in Birmingham, Alabama with his husband and son. His writing style carries a Southern slant whether it is Contemporary Fiction, Supernatural Fantasy, or page turning Action/Adventure. Whatever the genre, you can count on his novels to be sprinkled with humor, drama, and lots of twists and turns. "I write the way I think. I prefer authors who get to the point. I do not need 3 pages of text describing the tapestry on the wall. Slow paced writing is not my style.  My job is to connect you emotionally to the characters and keep a steady pace of action, humor, and heart so that readers do not lose interest before the story is told.  I write for people who love to read, love to be surprised, and want to invest in the characters they are spending their time with. I just don't take FOREVER getting you there."

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Love this book!

I couldn't put it down! The characters are all so well written and the ending is awesome. I can't wait to read book 2, 3 and 4 (when it's released in the Fall).

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars What a story!

Great imagination by the writer. The plot was full of surprising twists and turns throughout the book. I’m ready to read more about the Blanchards!

  • 5 stars: AMAZING

This book is an epic story of family and witches and powers and good and evil all mixed in with an old-school southern scenery and unending charm. What an incredible story! There is a vast set of fully realized characters, any of which could be the star of their own spinoff. I finished the book wondering how soon I could get my hands on the next installment of the series! If you enjoy witches, epic tales of families that have rich and storied bloodlines, or are just a fan of good old fashioned storytelling, I would VERY MUCH recommend this book!

  • 5 out of 5 stars Superb first book of a series by a fantastic new author!

I bought this book because I am fascinated with stories about witches and because I wanted to help a local new author. OH MY GOSH! What a story line! I was about halfway through when I totally fell in love with this family and started thinking “I sure hope this is going to be a series”. The twists, turns and action was just enough to keep me hanging on without being too much so that I lost interest. The story line was FANTASTIC. Micah hit it out of the park on his very first try.
I can hardly wait for the second book!

  • 5 out of 5 stars Better than the first!!

Y’all he did it again!!! Amazing book! So well written. The descriptions of every detail really help paint a picture of each character and scene throughout the book. Like the first one so many twist and turns with every chapter. I was hanging on to every page, could not put the book down til I finished it, and even then I’m grasping for more. Micah House is an amazingly talented author!!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping!!

Good luck putting this book down & get ready to fall in love with these characters, if you haven't already.
Prodigal daughters is possibly even better than book 1 of this delightful series. Book 3 can’t come soon enough!!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Can't wait for the next one!

If you loved the first book, prepare to love this book even more! From start to end it was attention grabbing! I love the direction that he took all of the characters! You develop a relationship with even more characters and you are still cheering on your favorites from last book! This story line is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book! Please do yourself a favor and read these books, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Third times the charm

Oh my!!! Each book gets better and better! Read it in one day!! The time travel aspect is great in this book. I loved getting to learn about the Blanchard’s distant relatives and things that happened within their family. Great story line, and new characters. One request, can you make this book series a movie or mini tv series?!?

  • 5 Stars: I LOVE this series

I have not enjoyed connecting with characters so much in years as i have with this series. And the author really turns the family upside down in the third. I can't wait for #4

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars very good read!!

I loved all the twists and turns and the emotional connection I felt to the characters! When they wept, I wanted to weep as well! Such a beautiful story. Definitely recommend!!

  • 4 stars because you killed off my favorite!

Wow! What I love about this series is how he gets us DEEPLY connected to these characters to the point they are our family too. But this one hit me hard. If it wasn't SO GOOD, I'd be mad. I lost some beloved characters in this one.

  • 5 stars: I Still Haven't Caught My Breath

Do not read this one in bed. You will not put it down and sleep. The stakes really heat up in this story. Epic fight at the end. And our favorite couple...well, just read it!

  • 5 Stars: I Love This Kinda Stuff

This one is heavy on time travel and throws some curveballs at us. After I read this I had to go back and reread some sections of the 1st book. Some stuff that happens here in #3 was foreshadowed in #1 but you will never know it until you reread it after reading #3. It was brilliantly subtle.

  • Have you read the extras?

I am new to this series but in love with it. I checked out the authors website and there is a section for Extra Tales. I guess its for things he wrote that did not make it into the books. Or they could be new tidbits for us. Unfortunately there are only a few so far listed. Maybe more are coming.
